How do you keep connected with your kids while traveling? For a Redditor going by the name Tatsputin, the answer is coloring in his children’s drawings while he’s flying out of state. With just their lines to go on, he fills in each with colored pencil giving each image lighting, dimension, “and whatever I feel the original drawing would need to be feasible.” The results are great and are keeping his kids excited to see what he brings home.

Part of the fun is seeing the combined creativity between the kids and their loving parent… and it’s clear where the kids get their abundance of creativity. Tatsputin explains how they started their collaboration on the image below:

“I did this one a few years back on a whim to see how it would look if I colored one of my 4 yr old daughter’s pictures. This is the one that started it all for me. Colored with prismacolor pencils on a small piece of scratch paper. This is also when I realized that I should take before pics.”

An Artistic Collaboration With a 4-Year Old （藝術家與孩童的聯手創作）

畢卡索說過，他唯一無法模仿的，是孩童的想像和創意。

當我看到這篇親子間共同合作完成的插畫，感覺開心極了；

一個插畫藝術家，讓四歲的孩子在她作品上延伸想像，這是多麼棒的創作呀!

以這種合作的方式，激勵並推動孩童一起進入美好的藝術世界，

同時成人與孩童的相互刺激，除了情感交融，

這個過程帶來完全不同的視野和令人驚艶的結果啊!
